How long should a furnace or AC last?
A well-maintained furnace runs fifteen to twenty years. An AC condenser usually lasts ten to fifteen. If yours is in that range and needs more frequent repairs, a new high-efficiency unit can pay for itself on the energy bill in a few seasons.
Do I need a tune-up every year?
Yes. A spring tune-up on the AC and a fall tune-up on the furnace catches small problems before they leave you without heat or cool air on the worst day of the season. It also keeps your manufacturer warranty valid.
Can you put in a mini-split for an addition or sunroom?
